This ambitious project undertook to retrofit a complex existing 1960’s era laboratory ventilation system of 150 fume hoods including all associated general exhaust, with a high efficiency variable air volume system complete with extensive energy recovery and advanced controls – all the while keeping the facility occupied and operational. Comprehensive project management from Kevin Stelzer and Alan Fraser organized the specialty services of laboratory design experts, including construction management staging and phasing scheduling.
