2026 CAGBC Awards

GEOpark (485 Albert) received the Inspiring Home award during the 2026 CAGBC Awards gala at the Building Lasting Change™ (BLC) conference in Montréal. Across Canada, industry leaders are redefining what high-performance buildings can achieve. The CAGBC Awards honour those setting new benchmarks for sustainability, resilience, and carbon reduction.

Located in Kingston, Ontario, the 176-unit residential development was designed to achieve carbon neutrality through an integrated approach that combines a geothermal heat pump, a highly efficient VRF system, a high-performance building envelope, low-impact materials, and thoughtfully designed shared spaces, including a rooftop terrace. Developed in collaboration with Lemay, GEOpark demonstrates that zero-carbon housing can deliver both environmental performance and an exceptional quality of life, setting a new benchmark for residential development in Canada.
