2 Brahms

The 2 Brahms building recladding & retrofit significantly reduces carbon footprint and greatly improves occupant comfort - designed to achieve a total of 44% in energy consumption as well as 56% in GHG reduction. The resulting design provides excellent energy optimization and durability. The project started with simultaneous and parallel design and analysis operations. Detailed in-situ systems review and calibrated energy simulation led to best value retrofit options. Design charrettes that engaged stakeholders and project leadership established the project design space: what was feasible, and what was desirable. The design implements best practice unit-based energy recovery ventilation systems to maximize indoor environmental quality.
